How it works

Two collectors, opposite needs: you have a spare card they've been chasing, they have a spare of one you still need. TradeMyTCG's whole job is to spot that overlap and put the two of you in front of each other.

It's card-for-card between members. There's no commission, the platform never touches your money, and any price you enter is a reference for ranking matches — never a charge.

A reciprocal match
You Your match Your spare Ember Wyrmling Near Mint · OP07-041 asking ~ €26 · reference only On their wishlist Ember Wyrmling any condition On your wishlist Tidewalker Colossus any condition Their spare Tidewalker Colossus Lightly Played · EX2-118 your spare → they want it their spare → you want it Both directions line up

Reciprocal means the match works for both people at once. A one-way “who has the card I want” lookup is a separate search — useful, but it’s on you to offer something the other person actually wants back.

What actually happens

  1. You price your spares

In your collection, mark the duplicate copies you’d part with and set their condition. Adding a reference price is optional — it only sharpens match ranking, and the platform never charges or enforces it.

  2. We match in both directions

You surface next to a member only when it works both ways: they want a card you’ve put up, and they’re offering a card on your wishlist. That’s the “Find matches” page. The one-way “who has what I want” search is there too, listed separately.

  3. You agree the trade

Open a match and you’re in the trade builder: accept it as-is, send a counter-offer (it revises the same trade in place, keeping its id and history), or talk it through on the trade’s own message thread first.

  4. You ship and confirm

Once both sides accept, you exchange addresses on the trade thread and send the cards. Each of you marks the parcel received and leaves the other a rating. Postage and any top-up cash are settled directly between the two of you — TradeMyTCG processes no payments.

You don’t have to trade at all

The collection is yours to keep. Log everything you own, track how close each set is to complete, and keep a wishlist — none of it is visible as an offer to anyone. A card only becomes tradeable when you deliberately mark a duplicate as spare. Plenty of members just use it to see what they’ve got.

In the app

Your collection. Every copy you own, split into what you keep, what’s spare (with condition and an optional price), and what you still want.
Find matches. Only members it works both ways with — each is a bundle you’d give paired with one you’d get, ranked by how even the value is.
The trade. Adjust either side freely — it isn’t locked to the suggested bundle — then accept, counter, or message before you commit.

Previews above are rebuilt from the real screens; the live pages carry card art and full controls.
